THE ARTIST
In 2007, my daughter and I made a mosaic path which leads toward a sitting area in our garden. Two of the pavers feature the Food for the Soul motifs - one has the flowers, the other has the vase. Each paver is 45cm square.
The very popular series of works, Food for the Soul were originally sold as handpainted cards in the Julesart Funky Handpainted Card shop. A similar series of paintings also called Food for the Soul was shown at Eastside Gallery as part of a group show with three other artists.
I became passionate about art as a young teenager, although several of my family members are artists. After leaving school, I worked in a commercial art studio for a short time, before moving on to another position as a studio assistant in a printing factory.
